This piece is based on the G.I home in which I grew up. These houses were usually small four-room structures with very few aesthetic embellishments. The home was divided into four rooms with a central corridor. In this particular space, a centrally located floor heater was placed in the floor, this obstacle dictated our movement through the home, as one could not move from one room to the next without taking a long step over the hot metal grate.
