Assignment- reductive shaping process- Create a spoon form.
Students are taught milling techniques to process the lumber from rough to a size specific blank in which to carve their spoon. The spoon need not be functional.

This is the first project of the beginning wood class. It introduces students to wood as a material.Students move from this project to the stool project.
